My Story

My interest in psychology has always been rooted in understanding people beyond a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who have come to therapy or assessment seeking clarity, support, and a better understanding of themselves.

My academic training began at York University, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree. I later earned a Master of Counselling Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, Ontario, and went on to complete my Ph.D. at Fielding Graduate University in California. Throughout my education and professional training, I had the opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of clinical settings, including Sunnybrook Hospital within an OCD-focused program, rehabilitation clinics, private practices, and community-based settings. These experiences allowed me to work with individuals presenting with a broad range of psychological, emotional, behavioural, and rehabilitation-related concerns.

Throughout my career, I have developed extensive experience in psychological assessment and treatment, including assessments for ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as assessments related to anxiety, depression, trauma, motor vehicle accidents, rehabilitation, and work-related concerns. Working across different settings has reinforced for me the importance of looking at the whole person—their developmental history, environment, relationships, strengths, challenges, and lived experiences—rather than relying solely on a diagnosis or test result.

What I value most about psychological assessment is the opportunity to help people make sense of experiences they may have struggled to understand for many years. For some clients, receiving the right diagnosis or explanation can bring a meaningful sense of clarity and validation. For others, the assessment process can help identify strengths, areas requiring support, and practical recommendations that can improve functioning in everyday life.

My approach is warm, collaborative, thoughtful, and evidence-based. I believe that clients should leave the assessment or treatment process feeling heard and understood, while also having a clearer sense of direction. Whether I am working with someone seeking diagnostic clarification, navigating mental health concerns, or recovering following an injury or significant life event, my goal is to provide care that is clinically thorough, individualized, and meaningful.
